Looks pretty awesome. What's that thing in its foot, though? Is that some sort of retractable traction spike?

yea the idea is that because its an artillery mech when it sets up to fire it stomps its feet to get a good hold and those spikes shoot into the ground and the hooks extend, so if in theory it were to topple over it would take huge chunks of the ground with it.
